Social Development department reiterates determination to strengthening SASSA grants

Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and commitment to strengthening South African Social Security Company (SASSA) services for the duration of an engagement together with the company's senior supervisors at a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% on the registered pupils inside the training sector.
These learners obtained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
